The goal of the European Union is to mandate the Battery Passport beginning in 2027. A Battery Passport is essentially a digital twin of a battery that has specific identity, details about where it was made and sourced, how healthy it is right now, and recycling information. This is a proof of concept by Siemens Advanta for a battery Passport.
