2-Day PIP on "Emission Control & Aftertreatment Devices" scheduled on 13th & 14th January 2025

  • Posted: 08-01-2025

To cater the needs of Professionals & Academia, ARAI has started series of Proficiency Improvement Programmes (PIPs) through its Academy.

The next Two Days Proficiency Improvement Programme (PIP) on "Emission Control & Aftertreatment Devices" is scheduled on 13th & 14th January 2025 (Monday & Tuesday) at ARAI-FID, Chakan, Pune.

Background & Objectives of this Programme are as below:

Stringent emission norms (like BS-VI, Trem and CEV Stage IV, CPCB IV+) are driving innovation in aftertreatment devices, which are crucial in reducing exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines. The training program is designed to enhance participants' understanding of the principles, technologies and strategies involved in controlling emissions through combustion optimization and further reducing them to near zero using aftertreatment devices. Participants will gain insights into the design, operation, strategic selection and calibration of advanced aftertreatment devices such as SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), Diesel & Gasoline Particulate Filter (DPF & GPF), Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), etc. At the end of the program, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge and competency necessary to address challenges in meeting the stringent emission norms.
