The next Two Days PIP on "Crash Safety of Vehicle and Bharat NCAP" is scheduled on 21^st& 22^ndNovember 2024. (Thursday & Friday) at ARAI-FID, Chakan, Pune.

Background & Objectives of this PIP are as below:

In today’s era, the automotive safety is one of most prominent and focused requirements. With this encouragement, the vehicle manufacturers are designing vehicles with a good balance of active and passive safety system for crash avoidance and crash protection respectively. The world-wide New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) tests new cars and gives them a safety star rating. Also, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has rolled out an indigenous star-rating system for car crash testing called the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP), under which vehicles will be assigned between one to five stars indicating their safety in a collision. This training program encompasses the vehicle safety, crash testing, various NCAPs used world-wide and Bharat NCAP protocol requirement in depth, which would help to design and develop safer cars.

Relevant Lab facility visit is included in this PIP.
